About me
Hi, I’m Hannah and I live in Reading with my partner Mark and my wonderful daughter Jessica (Marks wonderful too). Painting is a hobby for me that helps take me away from my often stressful daytime job, where I can create wonderful pieces that are individual and tailored to the customer requirements.
I realise now, in my 30s, that arts and crafts was always around when growing up, with my mum frequently making something and even my Grandma when we visited who loved drawing and painting. So I guess it was there all the time but I only discovered my passion for painting recently during lockdown 2020. Working from home and child-care came first but the evenings were there to explore my creativity in painting and drawing.
Being a hobby, means that I do not need to charge unrealistic prices for often bespoke one off works, which hopefully means that my customers get a real sense of happiness and wellbeing when they are presented with the finished piece. Please allow me to paint for you so you can take home something special that will be treasured for years to come.

Customise
After you have chosen the size or art work you require I will take your advice on what you would like me to create regarding style, colours and content. You can always start with an idea from a book, magazine, web page, existing room decor or get inspiration from one of my previous paintings.
Specialise
I work in oil and water colour and will always endeavour to make your piece very special to you and strive to meet your exacting requirements. It needs to be special and it will be and my passion will ensure it is.
Improvise
You may not know exactly what you want but I can take a seed of an idea and improvise around it to create your artwork. If you’re really not sure we can work together to sketch out some ideas to get that “just perfect” painting.
Materialise
It may take a few days or even a few weeks but eventually it will be there, that perfect paining that is unique to your requirements, colours and style.
Surprise
That moment when it is finished, the moment that I can show you your piece and the surprise you will feel when see what I have done for a surprisingly reasonable price and in a surprising time.
Allowmetoise
(I made that one up) Allow me to commission your very special paining, a one off, a unique to you item that I will be proud to produce and that you will be happy to own. Open the door to my creativity and I will open the door to the magic of a bespoke piece of artwork.

The stretched cotton canvases mounted on a wooden frame I create my artwork on come in many shapes, sizes and thicknesses and shown here are the most common ones I generally work with. Should you require something customised in shape I would be happy to discuss different options with you

Step by step...to wonderful
- You contact me at info@paintingsbyhannah.co.uk with an idea and we can discuss how to turn this into an artwork that meets your requirements
- We will agree the canvas size and price from the sizing up above and discuss rough time scales and price
- I will create your artwork and keep you in the design loop if required
- Once completed comes the big hand over and payment is exchanged for a wonderful bespoke artwork
- You will be very happy with your artwork and I would really like to add your comments to the testimonials section via testimonials@paintingsbyhannah.co.uk and show the picture on my art gallery page
The boring but important bits .....
We will agree a price, you and I will stick to it and payment will be due before the artwork is given to you. If the artwork estimate is over £100, I reserve the right to ask for a 30% starting fee that will be deducted from the final price upon completion. I accept cash, chip and pin card payments or bank transfer to H C Ryczowski 90152919 Sort Code 20-06-75 Reference “your name”. Sadly, if payment is not made within 7 days of me starting the artwork, I reserve the right to retain it for sale on my art shop page. All rights to the design will return to me and any advanced payments will be returned to you minus a 10% handling fee. I reserve the right to show images of the created piece on this web site unless objected to by you in writing. I will not knowingly duplicate any images protected by copyright and will not be held responsible for personal copyright infringements if not disclosed by you to me at the time of work commencement. All artworks are signed by me unless requested not to be at work commencement. In the very unlikely event of you being not happy with the artwork I have created, our contract is null and void and the artwork is retained by me with full ownership and rights to the images contained.
